These large bowls have been created from Yellow Birch, another piece that was salvaged from a local logger and can now be enjoyed for generations.
There are many things these bowls could be used for but salad and bread bowls are always the most common uses I think. The smaller bowl has been cored from the center of the larger bowl, just one of the ways we cut down on waste at 623 Woodworks.
The larger bowl measures 14-1/2" diameter x 4-3/8" high. They have been finished with Danish oil, a food safe finish.
Wood bowls should never be put in the microwave, dishwasher or submerged in water. Wash with warm water and mild detergent. If the wood appears dry wipe with mineral oil.
