Our shaker boxes are handcrafted using traditional methods and materials.
The bands, or sides, are cut from locally harvested maple while for the tops and bottoms quarter sawn pine is used.
The swallowtails are all cut by hand. The bands are boiled in water to allow them to be bent to a form and tacked together with copper tacks.
The tops and bottoms are fitted and secured in place with either wooden pegs or copper shoe pegs.
The chosen finish is applied.
